Ovemio compared with TiviMate and iBO Player
Three IPTV players, one table. The information on TiviMate and iBO Player Pro is taken from the manufacturers’ public descriptions, their app store listings and our own testing of the apps. Where details could not be clarified, they are listed here as ‘not specified’. Ovemio also has some gaps; these are included in the table.

What sets Ovemio apart
- No technical controls for the viewer. The buffer and video path adjust automatically based on measurements. However, anyone who wishes to can still adjust them manually.
- VPN, support and performance test are in the app. No second program is needed on the TV box.
- One licence for three devices. TV box, phone and PC share one licence key. The licence is not a subscription. There is an annual subscription only for the extra URLs, and only after their open beta.
- Quality on the film page. If a film is available in 4K, Full HD and HD, the quality is chosen on its page, and playback continues at the same point.
- Actors as a starting point. With your own free TMDB key the cast is visible, and for every actor you can find more films from your own catalogue.
- Continue watching on any device. The last position applies per profile on TV box, phone and PC, not just on the device where you stopped.
- Films without a network. The app downloads films, episodes and whole seasons to the device. Without a network they play for up to 7 days.
- Radio and your own files. Radio stations come from the open directory radio-browser.info; no IPTV account is needed for this. The app fetches your own films and photos from a USB stick or from the NAS via WebDAV, HTTP or FTP.
- A bespoke brand for providers. Bulk buyers receive the app under their own name, complete with licence management and a support chat.
Where the others are ahead
- TiviMate Displays up to four channels simultaneously. Ovemio does not support multi-screen display.
- TiviMate, according to the information from 5 September 2026, offers timeshift and, in Premium, catch-up, as far as the provider supplies it. Ovemio can only pause and restart the current programme from the beginning, and only with the provider's archive.
- iBO Player Pro also runs on televisions without Android: Tizen (Samsung), webOS (LG), Roku and Apple TV. Ovemio runs from Android 7.0 on devices with Android TV or Google TV, for example from Sony, Xiaomi, Hisense or Philips, on Windows and on the Mac with Apple silicon. Ovemio has not yet been tested on Fire TV; iPhone and iPad are in preparation.
